Image One - Design and Sculpting

The main focus of Image One is the demon character that will be seen lurking in the background. This character will include facial prosthetics as well as a silicone mask of a human face.

The first step was to create the design for the facial prosthetics. The designer collected a number of different prosthetic application images to find some inspiration.

Looking through these images, the designer was able to start drawing out some ideas.

Including a lot of detail in these charts, especially for a design that was to be 3D, created a challenge for the designer. Sketching these designs helped to create a better image of what the prosthetics would look like, so they began the sculpting process which could help the final result become clearer.

During the sculpting process, the designer knew they wanted strong, defined features on the face, including a strong brow bone, a nose and a chin. Their plans from this point is to include some textures in the face so it is not completely smooth, to further define features and start the floating off process to transfer to cores or a board to finalise the sculpt.
