Image Two is based around being connected to nature and becoming one with it. Nature plays a big part within witchcraft so it was decided that one of the four images would be dedicated to it.

Many practitioners would consider themselves one with, or in tune with nature on a spiritual level. For this image, this is to be taken as a literal saying. To become one with nature, letting it take over you.

The initial idea was that nature would begin taking over at the fingertips, spreading up the hands and arms. Before starting any sculpts, a few design charts were made first to ensure the artist had a fully developed idea.

Through spending some time refining the design, the artist achieved a look they were happy with. Initially the pieces would be created individually, however this could have become quite complex when trying to piece them together on the arm, as well as trying to hide the wires from the LED lights. Instead, the appliance would be one large piece. The artist wanted to include LED lights as they thought they could give it a more magical/mystical look.

A map of the model's forearm was taken by wrapping the arm in paper to measure the length and circumference. This then shows how much space there is to work with. After having this mapped out, having a piece this big could become quite difficult to apply at the later stages, so it was broken down into more manageable sculpts.

These moulds can now be used to create the pieces and trial incorporating the LED lights.
